Motivational Interviewing Training

    We have facilitators with lived experiences across a variety of contexts, and depending on the patient population you are hoping to impact.

    For example, if your team works with individuals experiencing homelessness, Aaron Weaver and his team at ReImagine Omaha have developed Motivational Interviewing trainings from the perspective of people who have experienced homelessness.

    Janae Schallert has extensive experience in police/mental-health professional co-responder models, and can provide MI training with a focus on crisis situations.

    We have other lived experts who are nurses and foster alum who also provide MI training as well.

    Demonstrate the ability to utilize motivational interviewing techniques in the moment.

    Assess the impact of motivational interviewing on behavior change over time.

Lived Expert Design Session

  • Have you started the thought work of putting together a service model and/or implementation strategy for a special population in your community? If you’d love to hear the feedback of a lived expert on what you’re planning, this option is for you. Lived experts can advise on engagement strategies, any potential holes in your plan, and emphasize where you got it right!

  • $3000- $5000 for an 8-hour day per SME (travel expenses paid separately)

    *Please note the cost range is intended to provide a range based on our average negotiated rates. However, the range can expand in either direction depending on client circumstances.

Apply a lived expert model in your community

  • Several of the Lived Experts in our network have developed models that target specific issues that directly impacted them. In some cases, particular models or trainings may be applicable to replicate and scale in other communities. This option is typically for city and state governments looking to design a population-level strategy for a particular group of individuals.

  • One-time ½ day -full day training with lived expert facilitation: $2000- $4000

Whether your end goal is cultivating an advisory group, or hiring lived experts, we provide support at the individual, role, and organizational level to ensure you are welcoming talent into an environment where they can thrive.

  • Seeking a lived expert speaker, but don’t have one in your network? We’ll introduce you to dynamic, seasoned speakers, who will add value to your event and provide a much needed perspective.

  • $1500 for a one-hour keynote (with food and lodging paid separately) is our average negotiated rate.

Patchwork Quilt Curriculum Build

  • The we consume content in today’s world is in short snippets, whether it’s from YouTube, TikTok, or Instagram, but traditional Learning Management Systems haven’t caught up.

    One flaw of consuming content on social media is that it’s often from influencers or experts that we are unlikely to ever meet in our day-to-day life.

    The Patchwork Quilt curriculum combines learning with community. Imagine making a content map and identifying the local experts to speak to those topics. Weaving together a “patchwork quilt” of local expertise allows people to build community as they learn.
